How to apply
Fill out the form below
This is a shared space residency so for transparency here are my answers to the form.
Name - Sara Meredith
Pronouns - She/ her
Accessibility needs - I’m hypermobile so sometimes I need to sit. There are counter height stools for all the tables and a lower couch. In order for me to accommodate the nature of the printmaking methods I explore the surfaces are optimized for standing to reduce strain. I’m immunocompromised - suspect that I have long term effects of having COVID once so I take COVID/ disease precaution seriously.
Share any terms that you identify with that help me ensure the Shared Space residency provides equitable access - I’m white (mixed eastern european/ Latvian descent), cisgender, female, asexual,autistic/ neurodivergent, middle class, mother, wife, interdisciplinary artist, community builder
Tell me about yourself ( casual)- I’m passionate about including every lifeform in my area as part of my community. Most recently I have developed a weekly ritual of interacting with the squirrels in our yard. I love hiking in the Cherokee Marsh. I’ve been involved growing Communication arts collective- an all volunteer run arts non profit in Madison - since 2020.I believe systems are killing everything we hold dear and the best way to work toward liberation is to nurture bigger love and relationships in our communities. I have 2 sons that test all of these practices as teens and a husband that has never stopped allowing me to be wild spirit.
I need space ————
to practice being a flawed human, to collaborate on big ideas, to share and nurture creativity of others, to challenge hierarchies, to be present.
