Offerings
This is the first handwritten catalog of my offerings as an artist. It started with the web of offerings sketched multiple times before being cut out by hand, digitized with the text labels added throughout the pattern. This web lies at the heart of the catalog. The web of offerings can be viewed beneath the digital version of the catalog.
MORE ABOUT THE PROCESS OF MAKING BELOW THE CATALOG VIEWER
To create the remaining pages, photos were printed and collaged into place. Every original page was scanned and printed double- sided on a Risograph printer ( think xerox meets screen printing 1 color at a time)
40 total copies were printed, collated & folded by hand and sent through a sewing machine by my studio neighbor Lauren (Thank you!)
The digital version below is a scan of the sewn Risograph copy with full color digital photos added back in. The result an imperfectly perfect representation of how I want to work, a little removed from the digital realm with a focus on process and presence. The intention was to create something tactile with face to face connection with the people in my communty. Printed works will continue to be what I lean on to transmit info about my practice versus any comprehensive online presence. Hopefully this is the first of many catalogs created in this way.
Online this catalog is best viewed and read at fullscreen size, There may be some areas that cannot be read. Growing and creating takes practice. Thank you for your grace! For accessibility purposes please feel free to reach out if there is info you’d like clarified.
